Welcome to the Denton First Adventist Church!

I am Derek Lazarus, Leading Pastor of the Denton First Seventh Day Adventist church. Welcome to our website!  I hope you will take the time to browse around and see some of the programs we have to offer. You can get acquainted with us by looking at our photo gallery and see some of the activities we engage in. In addition to our photo gallery, we also have several different ministries, like the Adventurer Club for children between the ages of 6 to 9,  and for the 10 to 16 year old we have the Pathfinder Club, for the 17 year old and above we have Advent Youth, this is our young adult ministry. We also have Adventist Christian Fellowship for all college students that meet every Friday Night on the campus of UNT. In addition to the children's and young adult ministries we have Women's Ministries, Family Ministries, ACS and ADRA Ministries that meets the needs of families during disasters and challenging times. We also offer free bible studies to those who want to learn more about the Bible. These are just a few of our ministries that we offer to our community.  If you want to support the ministry, we also provide an online giving. If you ever in the Denton area, feel free to come worship with us on Saturday mornings at 09:30AM, where we get- together to discuss lessons that benefit our christian growth, and at 10:50AM for our Worship Service.  After the worship service, the ladies from our church family provides a scrumptious meal for us to enjoy as we fellowship with each other over lunch. Until we meet,  may the Lord's blessings be upon you and your family.

God Bless,

Pastor Derek Lazarus

Pastors Corner:

Hebrews 10:23-26 (NIV)

23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

As I listen to the news each day, I am encouraged by the words of this scripture. It reminds me that the coming of our Lord and Savior is at the door.  This reminder should encourage us to spend more time on our knees and share the good news of our Lord with people around us. All that we see and hear only reminds us that Bible prohecy is being fulfilled. As God's children I invite you to get "your house in order". Time is running out! Tomorrow maybe too late to prepare. Today, let us prepare to meet our Lord and remain faithful to Him, because He is faithful to us. May the words of Hebrews 10:23-26, help us to build good relationships with people around us and help each other to be ready for our Lord! May the Good Lord bless us all!
