Texas Conference Strongly Recommends Closing In-Person Church Services

As COVID-19 cases in Texas increase, we are concerned for the health and wellbeing of all our employees and members. Knowing that gatherings and contact spreading contributes to the increased numbers, we strongly recommend that all in-person church services cease immediately until further notice.

Our number one priority during this pandemic is health and safety. As an organization of faith that values life, we want to do our part in assuring others that we are part of the solution and not the problem of community spread.

During our March 2020 Online Town Hall, it was shared that we would monitor the situation and, if necessary, make recommendations that require us to return to the March 17 closures. Unfortunately, recent events have made the closure recommendation necessary.

Even though church buildings have been closed, God has allowed many church services to reach people who might never have walked through the doors of a church.

Keep up the excellent work in connecting with your church members and remember, “And let us be not weary in well-doing; for, in due season, we shall reap if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9 KJV
